NPTBDC Indigenous Housing has an immediate opening.
NPTBDC Indigenous Housing is currently looking for reliable, innovative, flexible individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors; the board provides strategic direction and leadership to the organization while our experienced staff carry out the implementation.
Established in 1973, NPTBDC Indigenous Housing (previously “Native Housing”, Native People of Thunder Bay Development Corporation, and known as “the Corporation”) is a non-profit organization with a long history of providing much needed safe and affordable housing for Aboriginal “low-income” families and seniors of our Thunder Bay community.
Requirements of Board Members
- Commit to serving a 3-year term and meeting once per month
- Should fully support the Corporation's work mandate, and be a loyal ambassador for our organization and its mission
- Be willing to take responsibility for efforts in fundraising
- Attend Annual General Meetings
- Participate in special events
- No conflict of interest
